Born and raised in Washington State, I have two
sons and grandsons living in the Denver area. Jan and I have been
married for 6 ½ years and live in Lakewood. Combined, we have 8 children
and 7 grandchildren.
I have always enjoyed cars, especially the older
ones. We got our PT Cruiser in 2004 as it had vintage styling combined
with the comfort and technology of today’s new cars. We opted for the GT
model since it came with the Turbo charger as a standard feature—you
know—that extra performance leaving the stop light.
We have chosen to have a variety of cars in our
fleet, substituting them for the other toys of this era, boat, motor
home, motorcycle, 2nd home, etc. As a result, we have
vehicles from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 90s, and our current 21st
century rides. Having an attached 2 car garage and a detached 4 car
garage with shop keeps most of them out of sight from the neighbors. I
enjoy doing mechanical work on the cars, but the skills of body work
have escaped me so far.
We really enjoy the Mt. Rainier Cruiser car club,
its fun people and events. Since we do travel often, we usually aren’t
seen at all events, but are there in spirit. |
