I am a retired Sr.
Administrative Assistant from McDonnell Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach,
CA. Butch & I moved to WA. 10 years ago after Boeing made him an offer
he couldn't refuse. We left most of our family and friends in
California; but were looking forward to fresh, clean air with lots of
pine trees, and of course, Mt. Rainier. Boeing has been very good to us;
allowing us to travel the world; South Africa, Ireland, London, Bermuda.
We travel a lot to Orange County (we have 4 kids; 9 grandkids; Lin's
parents); Austin, TX (2 sons; 3 grandkids); Florida (Butch's Mom); Lake
Tahoe (Lin's Sister&Nephew's family). We both enjoy bowling; although I
had to give it up due to tendinitis. Butch bowls 2 leagues weekly, is
Treasurer for our Homeowner Association, loves adding new gadgets to our
2006 P.T. Cruiser (GT-Turbo).
We have always been car buffs, owning a 1969 Red Mustang; 1981 White
Corvette w/T-Top. When the P.T. Cruisers first came out, we were very
interested and bought our first PT in 2004-Royal Blue. We enjoyed
pinstriping it and adding new hardware to it. We joined Puget Sound
Cruisers and had lots of fun cruising to various places in WA; attending
fun Cruiser events; and enjoying making new friends and learning lots
about making our PT one of a kind (mostly from Gary Aldinger). When the
2006 PT's came out with a Marine Blue, GT Turbo, I was ecstatic since
the color reminds me of the ocean in Laguna Beach. We almost bought a
convertible; but we could customize more with the PT. Heidi (our 5 yr
old Black Miniature Schnauzer) enjoys riding to Des Moines Marina,
Coulon Park, and 5 Mile Park. We decided to join Mt. Rainier Cruisers at
the Brewer Meet 'n Greet since it is closer to us and had a bigger club.
We have enjoyed the fun and friendship so very much. |
