I guess I will start from the beginning. I was born in Seattle, but
was raised in California. I moved to Tacoma in 1967 and have been here
ever since. I have two grown children, son Jeff (the band drummer) and
daughter Jodie. I have four lovely granddaughters.
I liked the look of the PT Cruiser when I first saw one. In 2003 I
was ready for a new car and I fell in love with my “Almond Joy” the
minute I sat in it. A few months later, I went to the Puyallup PT
Cruiser Fest and met Garry Alexander and Bruce Wells who were wanting to
get together a Puyallup chapter of the Capital Cruisers. I said sign me
up! And soon after was the birth of the Mt Rainier Cruisers.
My hairdresser told me she had another client who also had a PT
Cruiser. A phone call later I met my good friend and cruising buddy Sue
Farley. Because of this club I have a wonderful network of friends and
have been on some memorable trips. Twice to Canada, down the Oregon and
Washington coast, and to eastern Washington a couple of times. I have
met new friends along the way and have renewed past acquaintances like
Casper and Wendy from YakiVegas.
I love my car, my friends and want to keep on cruising!!
FYI, I am an alumnus of Mt. Shasta
High School, where I went to school with the owner of the Black Bear
Restaurant, Bob Manley. |
